Se si traduce 'un influente scrittore' sembra anche qui di ricevere cose estranee che tentano invano di penetrare nel nostro universo. Il problema è che non esiste una parola che renda in italiano il loro 'influential'.

A genuine pop singer like Dido recently complained just about the way the Internet (especially the pictures available) is being used. By the way, the Memoriale archives contain a document called 'Didopronouncing' that may arouse somebody's curiosity. Let's look back on a serious problem inherited from the ancients.

Ma soprattutto: la frase risulta pericolosamente ammassata in quel punto, non potendo più distinguere tra soggetto e complemento, tra l'una cosa e l'altra. In questo caso dovete necessariamente: a) Spezzare almeno con una virgola tra i due nomi; oppure b) frapporre qualcosa in mezzo, ad esempio un sostantivo o un aggettivo in più in maniera da staccare le due cose.

Il giornale fa un piccolo errore tecnico ingigantendo graficamente il nome dell'autore (che invece andava citato all'inizio o alla fine, come in genere si fa per qualsiasi articolo). La cosa rientra nella grafica utilizzata per una rubrica libraria del sabato che confonde, perché affolla troppe cose in poco spazio e non invita alla lettura. In questa pagina un lettore distratto potrebbe rimanere molti minuti senza capire appunto chi sia l'autore dell'articolo, poiché esso non è contornato né all'inizio né alla fine del suo nome. La traduzione è molto buona. Tuttavia, Memoriale ha trovato ugualmente una decina di errori. Saprebbe scovarli il lettore? Noi li vediamo in un'apposita pagina. Come li abbiamo scoperti? E' bastato il metodo già descritto. Leggere prima soltanto in italiano, trovando punti in cui noi non scriveremmo in quel modo nella nostra lingua.
